Marie stored part of her belongings in the cellar of one of her neighbors, who died while she was away.

On her return, all her belongings had disappeared, leaving her helpless and without legal recourse, she said at the microphone of "La Libre antenna", on Europe 1.

TESTIMONY

Marie, in her sixties, put her life on hold for several years to take care of her mother, who has Alzheimer's disease.

She temporarily moved to her home in Vincennes, leaving her own things in her Parisian apartment and a cellar in her building, which a neighbor lent her.

But this lady died and the cellar was emptied in the absence of Marie, who is without any recourse to recover what it contained, she says at the microphone of the Libre antenna, on Europe 1.

"I am in shock and I think what happened to me may be of use to other people who ignore certain rules of life, maybe. It was my case. Let me explain: an elderly lady of the building where I myself have an apartment in which I live has lent me a cellar, for years, in Paris. But I currently live in the suburbs, in Vincennes, and therefore I only come once per week in Paris, to get my mail, and I often go to this famous cellar because I have reserves there.

I store a lot of household appliances there that I was offered, which I did not use because I had to tidy up my kitchen, to put on new products.

And I didn't have time to do it, taking care of a mom who has Alzheimer's.

This is also why I have been living elsewhere for almost two years now.

In short, in my cellar, there are a lot of things, because I had water damage at home and I was planning to do some work, have the apartment cleaned and live in better conditions later.

(…)

"

I had planned everything to clear my mind and finally have a little happiness. Everything has disappeared

"

So, I go down to the cellar, I find myself in front of the door of the said cellar and the lock has been broken.

I open the door, taking care not to hold the lock, telling myself that it has been broken into.

And there, I had nothing left, not even a piece of paper in this cellar, which was packed to the brim.

Before, there were shelves with boxes of shoes, new or not, clean, tidy clothes, new suitcases, new blankets and quilts.

For my return home, I had planned everything, bought in promotion or on sale, to clear my mind and finally have a little happiness.

Everything is gone, it happened yesterday.

I am a hypersensitive person and I have always dominated, in life, all the difficult situations that I have been given to go through.

But there, there is a moment when I wanted to move on to a new life, I have to leave Mom's apartment, which has recently been placed in a nursing home.

I get chills talking to you, I'm shocked and I have no rights.

By the time I was going to be able to go home and clean up, do some work, repair the water damage, etc.…

The problem is that this cellar did not belong to me, it was lent to me.

So officially, what was stolen from me, nobody cares.

Because I went to inquire in the building in which I live: I was told that there had been no burglary, but a removal of a lady who had died.

This said lady is the one who had this cellar, which she had lent me.

Several people knew I was occupying it.

But since I wasn't there, people came on Monday, broke the lock, and on Tuesday they fired everything.

Me, I got the flower with the gun yesterday.

I found out, it was too late.

But since I am smart and a believer, I asked for help.

I arrived, in a short time, namely, through a neighbor, that this lady had a granddaughter.

It was she who had the apartment of this deceased person emptied.

She hadn't seen her for 30 years.

"

They supposedly put everything in the dump, they really take me for an idiot

"

The place belonged to the diocese of Paris, which I had informed by mail that I was occupying this lady's cellar.

But I have no recourse because the diocese wanted to recover her apartment and the cellar, it was the granddaughter who had it emptied.

The people who came supposedly took everything, they supposedly put everything in the recycling center.

They really take me for an idiot.

I know very well that is not true.

I feel it by intuition and by reasoning.

I know very well that they used it.

The people who work and do this kind of junkyard are often people who are not very well paid, who are not very rich and who have to throw themselves on a brand new robot, a brand new blender, a brand new coffee maker, on brand new pots and pans, brand new toaster.

I'm not fooled.

I first went to the Paris police station, put down a handrail, to tell what happened to me.

I was well received but I was made to understand that the cellar did not belong to me, I had no recourse.

I fall from the clouds.

While I had signed a paper for this lady, I had warned the diocese!

Then I went to the Vincennes police station.

I haven't slept all night.

I explain my case, I say that I am coming to file a complaint, that I made a handrail the day before I have all the results, I know who did what, I did my investigation.

I had the people on the phone, including the person who had four guys cleared out by four guys on Tuesday morning and who is sorry for me.

And they refuse to take my complaint.

I don't even wish bad luck to those who stole everything from me, there was someone who told me that it would not bring them luck and I replied: 'I do not even wish them that'.

But it's not fair, it's not right and I needed this stuff.

I was on the road to renewal, I expected everything except that.

I expected new happiness.
