North Korean state media reported that Kim Jong-un visited a housing construction site in Pyongyang and said, "We should once again show off the potential of a self-sustaining economy."

The Workers' Party of Korea's Rodong Sinmun newspaper, dated 1st, reported that General Secretary Kim Jung-eun visited a housing construction site in Pyongyang.

In the rendering of the published house, 800 brown condominiums are lined up on the banks of the river.

According to the Labor Newspaper, housing will be home to people, scientists, educators and writers who have made significant contributions to their work.

During the visit, General Secretary Kim emphasized that "in the construction of the capital and rural areas, we will thoroughly adhere to the policy of artistic architecture," and "we should once again show off the potential of an independent economy." That is what I said.

General Secretary Kim just attended a groundbreaking ceremony in March to build 10,000 homes elsewhere in Pyongyang.

In addition to improving people's lives, North Korea seems to have the aim of arguing that economic development is possible despite the continued effects of economic sanctions and the new coronavirus.
