Krumbach (dpa / lby) - A 63-year-old suffered serious injuries during a police operation in the Günzburg district when an officer shot several times in the direction of the man.
According to the information, the injured man had been on someone else's property in Krumbach on Thursday afternoon and refused to leave it despite being asked to do so.
Instead, he ran up to a policewoman with a sharp object in his hand.
The officers used pepper spray and fired a warning shot, which had no effect, the police said.
An officer then fired several shots in the direction of the man.
The investigation into the case was still ongoing.
