Saudi Arabia announced today, Thursday, the arrest of a man carrying a white weapon chanting "supportive of terrorist groups" in the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

The official news agency (SPA) quoted a spokesman for the Makkah region police (it did not name it) that the security force of the Holy Mosque of Mecca spotted a person carrying a white weapon and chanting expressions in support of terrorist groups and organizations after Tuesday afternoon prayers, on the first floor of the mosque.

The spokesman added that the security force arrested the man immediately and took regular measures against him, without further details.

Saudi media reported that the man was chanting pro-Islamic State phrases, and a video was circulating the moment he chanted slogans inside the campus, before the campus police arrested him with the help of worshipers in the mosque.
