It was during Thursday morning that a fire broke out in connection with welding in an industrial premises.
The fire could be extinguished relatively quickly, but one of the acetylene bottles - which is used for welding - was heated as a result of what happened.
This could involve an explosion hazard.
- It's acetylene in question.
If there is a heat effect on the bottle, there is a risk of a so-called decomposition, and then a very high pressure arises which means that a vessel explosion can occur, says Ulf Lindström.
The rescue service is currently cooling down the gas tube with unmanned water cooling.
At 12.30 the temperature of the tube will be measured again.
- The fire has been extinguished and we are now keeping an eye on the bottle with an unmanned water jet that is cooling.
If something happens now, it's vacated.
Large barrier
The area around the industrial premises was cordoned off at 11.30.
- The industrial area is cordoned off, as well as Strandvägen which goes past Uusimaa.
We have blocked off about 200-300 meters.
There are properties in the area and those who are at home can stay indoors, says Ulf Lindström.
Air traffic is also affected by the situation.
- There is an approach route above.
We have informed the flight that they are not allowed to fly past.
They have to choose another route.
