People who have been fully vaccinated can live as usual, thinks the infection control expert and former state epidemiologist Johan Giesecke.

- The vaccination makes you immune in 99 percent of cases.

So in principle, as a vaccinated person, you can do anything, he said in SVT's interview program 30 minutes.

Sara Byfors, head of the Public Health Agency's unit, thinks that one should be careful about giving this type of advice, and that the most important thing is to follow the basic advice that the Public Health Agency has maintained over the past year.

- We do not fully know how the vaccines protect against the spread of infection, she said when she received questions from SR Ekot about Johan Giesecke's statement at today's press conference on the pandemic situation.

Is not free for the elderly

Sara Byfors does not want to give Johan Giesecke right or wrong.

She believes instead that it is important to be careful.

- To say that it is perfectly okay to have an Easter party at home, I think is going too far because most people will not be fully vaccinated, she said.

- As an older person who has been very careful, you can of course take a step forward after the vaccination.

But it is not free to live as usual.
