A woman with a gun invaded the premises of the headquarters of the National Police at around 4:30 pm local time on the 31st and around 6:30 pm Japan time in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, and fired six shots.

The woman was shot dead by a police officer and no one was injured.



According to the national police, the woman is a 25-year-old Indonesian who posted on SNS about the extremist organization IS = Islamic State and left a letter at home saying "Jihad = holy war is the best in Islam". Police are investigating the possibility of terrorism by IS supporters.
