On March 31, local time, a shooting incident occurred in Orange County, California, USA, resulting in the death of four people, including one child, and one injured.

A gunman was injured by the police and sent to hospital.

  The Los Angeles Times quoted Orange Police Department spokesperson Jennifer Amart as saying that the police received the call at about 17:30 and responded to an office building at 202 West Lincoln Avenue in Orange.

The New York Times quoted the police as saying that when the police arrived at the scene, the shooting continued.

  The incident resulted in the death of 4 people, including 1 child, and the injuries of the other one were unknown.

Amat said the police shot and wounded the gunman.

The gunman was then taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

  The operator of a nearby auto repair shop said that he heard four gunshots first.

A few minutes later, the police surrounded the office building.

Since then, the operator has heard at least 10 gunshots.

  Amat did not disclose the possible reasons for the incident and why the children were in the building and other relevant details.

The police said that by 7pm, the situation had stabilized and there was no threat to the public.
