Mindelheim (dpa / lby) - A two-year-old boy died after falling into a canal in Mindelheim (Unterallgäu district).
As the police confirmed on Wednesday, the child died in a Munich hospital.
A helicopter had brought the boy there on Friday after first responders had rescued him from the water and attempted resuscitation.
First of all, the "Augsburger Allgemeine" reported.
An autopsy was ordered to clarify the cause of death.
Why the child fell into the canal is currently being investigated, said a police spokesman.
