“Of course, I don’t admit my guilt,” one of the commission members quoted him as saying.

The human rights activist told RT that Mazo is still being held alone in a quarantine cell with a TV.

“He asks to take him to the doctor's office as soon as possible due to pain in his leg, says that he is limping, and assumes that he was injured even before being placed in a Russian pre-trial detention center,” the POC member clarified.

Boris Mazo spent a month in an Austrian prison before extradition.

“There was a four-bed cell.

Conditions here are no worse than in Austria.

But there they give out shaving foam and machines for free, they do not force them to keep their hands behind their backs when they are taken out of the cell, there is a little freer, but here it is more humane, there is not such a formal approach, "Mazo's interlocutor quoted RT as saying.

The former official added that it is easier for him to communicate in the Moscow jail, since not everyone speaks English in the Austrian prison, and does not know German Mazo.

Earlier it was reported that, according to the investigation, in 2015, an organized group led by the former Deputy Minister of Culture Grigory Pirumov, which included the director of the property management and investment policy department Boris Mazo and the head of the Rospan group of companies Nikita Kolesnikov, committed theft of budget funds for amount over 916 million rubles.
