Saudi Arabia: Corona vaccination is not a condition for performing the Umrah during Ramadan

Today, Wednesday, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that obtaining the Corona vaccine is not yet a requirement for those wishing to perform Umrah from within the Kingdom.

The ministry added: "The permitted ages for Umrah within the Kingdom, according to the Ministry of Health instructions, from 18 to 70 years."

The Ministry had previously confirmed that it was preparing for the Ramadan Umrah season, starting with the sorting points for “Umrah” permits and the areas for the transportation of pilgrims, in addition to the accurate application of the precautionary measures issued by the Ministry of Health, and the close link between the ministry and the application of Tawakulna.

And the Ministry of Health had issued controls for the Hajj season this year, on top of which pilgrims from home and abroad received doses of the vaccine against Corona.

The ministry explained that the controls included obliging pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom to take an anti-corona virus vaccine approved by the World Health Organization, provided that the second dose of the vaccine is about a week before entering the Kingdom.
