Schwerin (dpa / mv) - In the trial of the mistreatment of a 30-year-old man in Goldberg (Ludwigslust-Parchim district) in September 2019, the verdict is to be announced today (9.30 a.m.) at the Schwerin district court.

In their pleadings, the public prosecutor's office had called for four and a half years in prison for two defendants.

She applied for suspended sentences for two more.

The prosecution is convinced that the two women and two men between the ages of 22 and 37 kidnapped, beaten, humiliated and mistreated their victim from a festival site.

They are charged with extortionate kidnapping, dangerous bodily harm and sexual assault.

The reason is said to have been the unsubstantiated assumption that the man had assaulted the twelve-year-old daughter of a defendant.

A total of eleven perpetrators are said to have been involved.

Four have already been sentenced to suspended sentences, the proceedings against three others have not yet been concluded.
