Kiel / Schwerin (dpa / mv) - The regional directorate north of the Federal Employment Agency today announced the labor market figures for the month of March in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Against the background of the Corona crisis, experts are expecting an increase in unemployment compared to the same month of the previous year, but compared to February with a seasonal decline.

The number of unemployed in the northeast rose from January to February by 900 to 71,600.

Compared to February 2020, the number of unemployed was 8,900 higher, an increase of 14.2 percent.

The last unemployment rate was 8.7 percent.
