Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - After the publication of mug shots for the night of the Stuttgart riot, three other suspects have been identified by the police.

"You have not turned yourself, but we have received information," said a police spokeswoman on Tuesday morning.

One of the young men is in custody, another is currently free, while a third has not yet been caught.

In total, around half of the 17 alleged perpetrators from the June night of last year have been known or caught.

First the "Stuttgarter Nachrichten" and the "Stuttgarter Zeitung" reported on it.

After months of investigations, the police had published mug shots of 17 suspects three weeks ago, to which they could not assign a name.

According to the police, there is a judicial order for every single suspect in the pictures.

The three young men are among dozens of others who are said to have rioted in downtown Stuttgart after a drug control on late June 20, 2020.

Police officers were threatened, thrown at, kicked and injured, shop windows destroyed and shops looted.

The incidents made headlines and heated debates far beyond Stuttgart.

Video surveillance, alcohol and residence restrictions were discussed, and the first cameras were planned in central locations.

So far, more than 130 suspects have been identified and dozens of judgments have been made.

The wanted are mainly accused of serious breach of the peace.
