Nike has filed a lawsuit against an apparel company that customized its own sneakers.

It is said that this company infringed Nike's trademark rights by releasing the so-called'Satan Shoes' containing human blood in Nike sneakers.

According to NBC News on the 30th (local time), Nike said it had filed a federal trademark infringement lawsuit against streetwear company MSCHF the day before.

MSCHF collaborated with rapper Lil Nas X to release Nike'Air Max 97S' custom sneakers.

The problem is that these sneakers were called Satanic sneakers, causing controversy.

MSCHF wore a star pendant on their sneakers and engraved a passage from Luke about the devil's fall from heaven.

Specifically, I put a drop of blood from one of my employees on the floor of my sneakers.

All 666 pairs of these sneakers were manufactured and cost a whopping $1,18 (about 1.15 million won), but they sold out as soon as they started on sale on the 29th.

Nike even made a statement last weekend that it had nothing to do with Satanic sneakers, but eventually filed a lawsuit as some misunderstood that Nike made them.

Nike explains that it is imperative to maintain control over its brand, which is only possible by correcting the facts and clearing the misunderstandings about Nike products with their distinctive logos.

"The misunderstanding that MSCHF's Satanic sneakers were made under the permission or approval of Nike is causing considerable confusion and (brand) depreciation in the market, with the demand for boycotting Nike."

Nike once again stressed that "we have nothing to do with Lil Nas X or MSCHF," without revealing any additional details regarding the lawsuit.

Regarding this, Lil Nas-X posted a video on Twitter saying, "I was just kidding. You know I was kidding? I didn't" a character in'Spongebob Square Pants'.

This satanic sneakers came out in line with the release of the music video for Lil Nas-X's new single'Montero'.

In this music video, there is a scene where Lil Nas X falls to hell in the'Garden of Eden' and performs a sensational lap dance to the devil.

Lil Nas X posted a short video on YouTube titled'Lil Nas X Apologizes for Satan's Sneakers' after controversy arose.

However, in the actual video, Lil Nas-X pretended to apologize, saying, "I know everyone is talking about these sneakers," then replayed her sensational music video, but did not apologize.
