Darmstadt (dpa / lhe) - A 20-year-old cyclist was hit by a turning car in Darmstadt and seriously injured.
The cyclist wanted to cross an intersection on Monday night, the police announced on Tuesday.
According to initial investigations, a 26-year-old driver overlooked the oncoming cyclist when turning left, who was traveling without a light on the bike.
In the collision, the woman with her bicycle was first thrown onto the car and then fell to the ground.
The 20-year-old was taken to hospital, seriously injured, according to police.
The police is now looking for witnesses.
