China News Service, Beijing, March 30. On March 30, the spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs answered reporters' questions on the WHO's release of the China-WHO New Coronavirus Traceability Research Report.

The spokesperson pointed out that it is believed that this joint study by WHO and China will play a good role in promoting global traceability cooperation.

A reporter asked questions. The World Health Organization has released a China-WHO New Coronavirus Traceability Research Report.

What is China's comment?

The spokesperson pointed out that China has noticed that the WHO has issued a research report on the traceability of the new coronavirus.

China appreciates the scientific, diligent, and professional spirit shown by the Chinese and foreign experts participating in this traceability cooperation.

The spokesperson said that China has always supported scientists from various countries to carry out global scientific research on the source and transmission of the virus, participated in the drafting of the WHO resolutions related to new coronary pneumonia, and supported the cooperation of member countries on the source of the virus under the leadership of the WHO.

Under the arduous task of preventing and controlling the domestic epidemic situation, China has twice invited WHO experts to China to carry out traceability research.

From January 14 to February 10 this year, Chinese experts and international experts from the World Health Organization and 10 countries formed a joint expert group to carry out a 28-day joint study in Wuhan.

China has provided necessary assistance for the smooth work of the expert group in Wuhan, which fully reflects China's open, transparent and responsible attitude.

The spokesperson emphasized that traceability is a scientific issue, and related work should be carried out by global scientists.

The act of politicizing the traceability issue will only seriously hinder global traceability cooperation, undermine the global anti-epidemic efforts, and cause more loss of life.

This runs counter to the desire of the international community to unite in the fight against the epidemic.

The spokesperson said that traceability is also a global task and should be carried out in multiple countries and locations.

We believe that this joint study by WHO and China will play a good role in promoting global traceability cooperation.
