The Halbarderie nursery school in Thouaré-sur-Loire (Loire-Atlantique), east of Nantes, will not welcome students this Tuesday morning.
The public establishment was indeed the victim of a violent fire Monday, at the end of the afternoon.
At around 5:15 p.m., heavy smoke was released from the roof, followed by flames.
Some 150 m2 of framework caught fire, according to the departmental fire and rescue service.
Luckily, no children were present at this time of day.
But fifteen adults were taken care of and brought to safety.
The firefighters, who had mobilized large resources including five fire hoses, managed to extinguish the disaster in the early evening.
The origin of the fire is, for the time being, undetermined.
A crisis unit was opened by the town hall of Thouaré.
