Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - The spread of the corona virus has picked up speed again in Saxony-Anhalt.
On Monday, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the number of infections per week and 100,000 inhabitants in Saxony-Anhalt at 167.2.
On Sunday the value was still at 150.8, at the beginning of the weekend on Friday at 136.8.
Nationwide, the so-called seven-day incidence rose from 129.7 on Sunday to 134.4.
Saxony-Anhalt is therefore still the federal state with the third highest value after the neighboring states of Thuringia (235.1) and Saxony (200.4).
The new Corona state ordinance came into force in Saxony-Anhalt on Monday.
It does not take back any of the openings from the previous regulation, but enables further openings as part of model projects.
