Düsseldorf (AP) - The philosopher Richard David Precht (56) also sees the coronavirus pandemic as practicing doing without.
He explained that "the pandemic is a pill-pill for what will happen to the people as a result of the climate catastrophe".
Last but not least, it is an exercise in doing without.
"And without that we will not be able to prevent the climate catastrophe," said the 56-year-old of the "Rheinische Post".
He said that government measures are not a question of personal opinions - unless they violate human dignity.
"And that is definitely not the case with temporarily wearing a mask or restricting encounters," said Precht.
