Bonn (dpa) - In the newly opened trial against a 32-year-old for killing his parents, the verdict is expected in the Bonn district court today.
The public prosecutor has again demanded life imprisonment for the accused for two insidious murders, and the particular gravity of the guilt is to be determined.
The defense pleaded for double manslaughter.
The defendant from Weilerswist had once again confessed in the trial that he killed his parents with 60 stab wounds in April 2019.

The Federal Court of Justice (BGH) overturned the judgment last November.
The chief judges had doubts about the reasoning that the father's killing was insidious and therefore murder.
