Lille pride is cursed.

For the second year in a row, the LGBTI + pride march will not take place in the capital of Flanders.

Whose fault is it ?

At the Covid, as usual.

In 2020, the Lille Pride was first postponed and then canceled.

This time, the organizers preferred to immediately cancel the event, initially scheduled for June 5, to better prepare for the 2022 edition.

Rainbow week is maintained

"The health situation does not allow the Village and the Walk to be organized in good conditions, knowing that the event welcomes between 15,000 and 20,000 people, which is absolutely impossible again this year", explains the Fiertés Lille Pride team, organizer. of the event, on his Facebook page.

However, if the march is canceled, the association has decided to maintain the Rainbow week from May 27 to June 3 where various events centered around LGBTI + culture will take place throughout the city.
