.

These animals were found this week on the shore of Khor al-Thouqba, in Ras al-Shabaan, in the region of Oumlouj (north-west).

They arrived there "due to high winds and unstable weather conditions," the agency said, quoting local newspaper

Stranded in shallow water

“More than 40 dolphins have been rescued and seven have died,” SPA added.

The latter points out that the dolphins were "stranded in shallow water, which made" their return to the sea difficult ".

Photos show dolphins trying to reach the depths of the Red Sea and then men bringing them back at arm's length into the very clear turquoise blue water, surrounded by white sand.

The personnel of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture as well as agents of the border guards, the municipality, the civil defense and "some volunteers" took part in the rescue.
