Stuttgart (dpa) - The new head of HR at the technology group Bosch, Filiz Albrecht, cannot gain much from a quota of women for management positions in companies.

"The issue cannot be solved with a quota system for companies alone," said Albrecht of the "Stuttgarter Zeitung" and the "Stuttgarter Nachrichten" (Monday).

“And a quota doesn't always do women a favor.

The goal is to have more women in management positions - without statutory regulations. "

But it is more about diversity in the sense of equality, about the participation of all people regardless of gender, age and origin.

“That also helps when it comes to women in management positions,” she said.

As Labor Director, Albrecht has been responsible for human resources on the Bosch board of management since the beginning of the year.

At Bosch, the proportion of women in management positions is currently 18 percent, she said.

That is almost twice as high as in 2010.
