The Sudanese team snatched the qualification card for the African Nations Cup for Football, to be held in Cameroon early next year, after its victory over its guest South Africa 2-0 today, Sunday, in the sixth round of the last Group C qualifiers, which also witnessed the Ghanaian team's victory over Sao Tome and Principe 3 -1.

The goals of the Sudanese national team were scored by Saif Terry and Mohamed Abdel Rahman Youssef in the fifth and 32nd minutes.

The Sudanese team raised its score to 12 points in second place to snatch the qualifying card for the ninth time in its history, accompanied by the Ghanaian team, which ranked first, while the balance of the South African team stopped at ten points in third place.

In the second match, the Ghanaian national team defeated at home to Sao Tome and Principe 3-1. The goals of the Ghanaian team were scored by Nicholas Abuko in the 12th minute, Jordan Ayew in the 31st minute with a penalty kick and Abdurrahman Baba in the 60th minute, while the goal of Sao Tome and Principe Iniesta was scored in the 83rd minute.

The Ghanaian team raised its score to 13 points at the top of the standings, and the Sao Tome and Principe team remained without a score at the bottom of the standings.

The Sudan team became the sixth Arab team to reach the African Nations Cup, after Algeria - the champion of the last version - and Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt and Comoros.
