Darmstadt (dpa / lhe) - A good week after the demonstration by thousands of people in Kassel against the corona measures, the lateral thinking movement wants to protest in Darmstadt today.
According to the police, 1,500 participants have been approved for the protest at the Merck Stadium.
The organizers initially wanted to protest directly in the city center in the immediate vicinity of the vaccination center.
The city banned this and moved the rally to the southeast of the city.
Four counter-protests with hundreds of participants have been registered for the inner city.
A large police presence is expected.
More than 20,000 people demonstrated in Kassel last Saturday - only 6,000 were allowed. Many participants did not adhere to requirements such as wearing mouth and nose protection.
Overall there were several rallies in the city, including by counter-demonstrators.
Critics had accused police officers of being too cautious at the demonstration of opponents of the corona measures.
