The Jazz never stops: the Utah franchise won again Saturday in the NBA by defeating Memphis, while the Clippers brought down Philadelphia and the Knicks inflicted a major defeat on the Bucks, deprived of their double MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Utah again and again

With 35 points scored and seven assists, Donovan Mitchell was the strongman in the victory of the Jazz against the Grizzlies (126-110), their 5th in a row and their 33rd this season.

Mike Conley having taken his evening to rest after an injury, Mitchell took up his responsibilities, well helped by Jordan Clarkson (28 points), the French Rudy Gobert (16 pts, 14 rebounds) and Joe Ingles (15 pts, 7 assists ).

The Clippers, in pursuit of Jazz in the Western Conference, also chained their 5th victory in a row, by capturing a notable success (122-112) against the 76ers, leaders in the standings in the East, to whom Joel Embiid, still not recovered from a bruised knee, was sorely missed.

On the list of top scorers for the Clippers, a trio made up of Kawhi Leonard (28 pts), Paul George (24 pts) and Terrence Mann (23 pts).

How did you win over the 76ers?

“Just by being aggressive,” Mann replied.

Unlucky robinson

As for the Knicks, 102-96 winners of the Bucks in Milwaukee, they too can say thank you to Antetokounmpo, who is still healing a sprained left knee.

The New Yorkers, deprived of Julius Randle (thigh injury), saw Alec Burks and RJ Barrett each score 21 points, but Mitchell Robinson prematurely left the floor because of a broken right foot.

Robinson, who had just returned to his teammates after treating a broken hand, is decidedly unlucky: while defending on Brook Lopez, he was unsettled and fell badly.

"Mitchell is great, it's a big loss for us, said Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau. I hate to see him like that. I'm so sorry for him after all the work he's done to come back. (after his hand injury, editor's note) ".

15th triple-double for Westbrook

The Washington Wizards, doped with the communicative energy of Russell Westbrook, beat the Detroit Pistons 106-92, but also saw their chief scorer Bradley Beal out with an injury (right hip) in the 3rd quarter, after being efficient (17 pts, 6 assists).

Westbrook netted his 15th triple-double of the season, tying his franchise record set by Darrell Walker, with 19 points, 19 rebounds and 10 assists.

In the aftermath of their loss to Minnesota, the Houston Rockets rebounded to win 129-107 over the Timberwolves.

Kevin Porter scored 25 points for the Texas franchise, while Kelly Olynk, just arriving from Miami after being traded to Victor Oladipo, signed 16 points for his first game in his new colors.

Williamson at the top, Vucevic unhappy

Finally, in New Orleans, Zion Williamson was once again huge, with 38 points on his own, allowing the Pelicans to beat the Dallas Mavericks 112-103.

Deprived of Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis, the Mavericks nevertheless led 95-94 with less than four minutes from the end of the match.

But the Pelicans rebelled to line up an 18-8 in the remaining time, including 10 points scored by Williamson alone.

Two days after being sold by Orlando, pivot Nikola Vucevic (21 pts, 9 rebounds, 4 assists) made a good debut in the Bulls jersey, defeated 104-120 in San Antonio by Spurs well led by Jakob Poeltl (20 pts, 9 rebounds) and DeMar DeRozan (17 pts).
