The Frenchman Victor Perez lost Sunday in the semifinals of the World Championship (WGC) match play, against the American Billy Horschel who will face in the final a compatriot, Matt Kuchar or Scottie Scheffler.

Last European in contention after the eliminations on Saturday of the Spaniard Jon Rahm, N.3 world, and the English Tommy Fleetwood, 21st in the world, Perez tied with Horschel during the first nine holes.

The American raised the bar and finished three holes ahead of the 16 green, due to a series of narrowly missed putts by the Frenchman.

But Perez will play for the 3rd place of this very tough tournament, Sunday afternoon, and for a temporary invitation on the American PGA Tour.
