To travel to Spain by train or car, you will now have to present a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours.
The measure will come into force on Monday midnight while until now a test was only required for arrivals by plane.
For Sonia Ocampo, Barcelona, it was about time: “
I think we have to make an effort and do things well so that everything ends faster.
This is a good measure even though they should have demanded it for trains and cars from the start, I don't know why they waited so long.
"
But in recent days, the image of tourists, especially French, alcoholic, taking advantage of less strict measures on the other side of the Pyrenees has especially annoyed the Spaniards who are prohibited from changing region.
“
If I can't go to my mother who lives in another region and I can't move freely in my country, why can these people travel this way just because they are on vacation?
»Asks Fran Bienert.
Spain is mainly trying to avoid a new rebound in the epidemic while infections have been on the rise for a week after two months of significant decline.
