The skier, who had previously disappeared in the mountains in the Murmansk region, was found dead, TASS reports with reference to the Murmansk Arctic complex emergency rescue center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
“He died,” the center said.
It is noted that the deceased was found and lowered from the mountain.
Earlier it was reported that rescuers in the Murmansk region went in search of a participant in a ski trip, who may have fallen from a slope in the Khibiny.
