Blue skies, chalk white snow and bright orange snowmobiles.

And the smell of two-stroke fuel mixed with the fresh spring-winter air is what meets one in one of the fields on the outskirts of Råneå.

Lars Lindgren is there together with Conny Wallmark and Magnus Nordlund to air their cult snowmobiles.

The gang says that they spend a lot of time together finding new objects they can put their teeth into.

- It's a bit like giving old machines new life.

I like that, says Lars Lindgren.

"It's incredibly fun"

In other words, it's not just about buying and driving but also about renovating.

- It is the nostalgia factor that makes you do things like this.

It's incredibly fun, says Wallmark, who drives an Ockelbo 300 which, among other things, is associated with the cult-declared series Pistvakt.

Great interest throughout the country

And they are not alone.

The interest in these scooters is greater than ever.

- I have talked to people in Uppsala, among other places, who are incredibly knowledgeable and interested - and there they hardly even have snow, says Lars Lindgren and smiles.

Watch the group of friends ride their cult snowmobiles in the video above.

There is "Ockelbo fever" all over the country.
