During the events dedicated to the action in Moscow, WWF-Russia head Dmitry Gorshkov said that "the theme of this Earth Hour is the openness of information about the state of the environment."

“The events of 2020 showed us what can happen if information is provided inaccurate or is not provided at all,” - Gorshkov.

In turn, the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources Alexander Kozlov noted that "this action is not aimed at turning off the light."

“It is attended by millions of people around the world who are experiencing what is happening to our Earth, what will happen tomorrow, what will remain for our children,” the minister explained.

Earlier, "Nevskie Novosti" reported that in St. Petersburg in the "Earth Hour" will turn off the illumination of more than 40 buildings and bridges.
