China Overseas Chinese Network, March 27. According to Singapore’s “Lianhe Zaobao” report, to celebrate the success of Singapore’s hawker cultural heritage application and officially included in the UNESCO’s “Intangible Cultural Heritage List”, Singapore Post has launched a series of hawker stamps.

Singapore Post issued a statement on March 26, stating that the stamp designs of this series are familiar to the Chinese people in hawker centers, such as hawkers cooking food, diners dining, famous hawker centers, and a variety of local delicacies.

The face value of this set of stamps ranges from 3 Jiao to 1 Yuan 4 Jiao.

The pre-cancelled first day cover with stamps is priced at 4 yuan and 8 cents, and the commemorative set (Presentation Packs) is sold at 5 yuan, 8 cents and 5 cents.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage held a meeting in December last year and announced that Singapore Hawker Culture was officially included in the "Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage."

This is not only Singapore's first project to be included on this list, but also Singapore's second successful inscription after the Botanic Garden was successfully included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2015.

Singapore Post said that the successful application of hawker culture is the pride of all Singaporeans. It is only natural to retain this local feature and share it with the world. Therefore, the company launched this exquisite set of hawker culture stamps to commemorate this special occasion. .

Interested members of the public can purchase this set of stamps at various post offices across the island, the Singapore Philatelic Museum or online.
