[Abu Amer/Train passenger: Please help.

There was a train accident in Sohag.

People are tangled up and dying.] After an

accident, people around us rushed to rescue.

They try hard to get rid of passengers who are groaning by being caught in a broken and bent body.

Look at the children.

Look at the people.]

Egyptian railroad authorities explained that on a train from Luxor to Alexandria, one passenger activated emergency brakes, and a train to Cairo that followed a stationary train collided.

It is not known who, why, or suddenly triggered the brakes.

32 people have been killed and 165 people have been injured in this train accident so far.

In Egypt, train accidents are frequent, with fires and 373 deaths on a train from Cairo to Luxor in 2002.

In 2018, more than 2,000 train accidents occurred due to aging railway facilities, poor safety systems, and inadequate maintenance.
