Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The North Rhine-Westphalian SPD parliamentary group leader Thomas Kutschaty has criticized the state government for softening the corona emergency brake.

“Early on Tuesday morning, Prime Minister Laschet announced that he would implement the so-called emergency brake“ one-to-one ”.

Only three days later, his state government is rowing back, ”said Kutschaty of the“ Rheinische Post ”(Saturday edition).

According to the Corona Protection Ordinance published on Friday, shops and museums only have to close in municipalities with a weekly incidence of over 100.

Originally, Prime Minister Armin Laschet (CDU) said that the Corona emergency brake would be pulled from Monday and that the whole country would be the benchmark.

Kutschaty said he doubts the state government's short-term maneuver in the hotspot communities is feasible.

"As a result, this can mean: a lack of health protection on the one hand and a lack of an opening concept on the other."
