Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed that the numbers of financial compensation be doubled for the victims of the Sohag trains and their families, as the amount is now 100 thousand pounds for deaths, and from 20 to 40 thousand pounds for injuries, according to the situation of the injury itself.

Madbouly added, during his speech in a press conference about the collision of the two trains in Sohag from the governorate, which was published by the "Extra News" satellite channel, that as soon as news reported that a collision had occurred in two trains, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi directed the movement of a special plane belonging to the armed forces to transport critical injured cases, which will be called Microsurgical interventions, which may not be available in Sohag, need to be performed in Cairo hospitals.

He confirmed that all the cases present in the hospitals were identified in preparation for transporting them through that plane, pointing out that he, accompanied by five government ministers, moved to visit a number of hospitals in the governorate to check on the cases of the injured and receive the required health care, and that the Minister of Transport is at the scene of the accident to remove Its implications, and to see the situation on nature and re-run the railway movement.
