Such a resolution was approved by the government of the Russian Federation, according to the website of the Cabinet.

“The budget of the Pension Fund provides 12.8 billion rubles for these purposes.

The decision as a whole will affect more than 3.9 million people, ”the message says.

Social pensions are received by citizens who do not have sufficient proven experience to calculate an insurance pension.

These payments are also due to people with disabilities and those who have lost their breadwinner.

It is noted that the size of the indexation is calculated based on the size of the pensioner's subsistence minimum for the two previous years.

After its implementation, the average social pension will be 10,183 rubles.

Recall that the size of the subsistence minimum for a pensioner in 2020 was 9308 rubles, for 2019 - 9002 rubles.

First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy Valery Ryazansky commented on the upcoming changes in an interview with RT.

“In accordance with the legislation, we have made indexation of several social payments, first of all, indexation of pensions for non-working pensioners from the New Year to the level of 6.3%.

These are the majority of our pensioners, ”the senator explained.

He recalled that on February 1, there was also an indexation of social benefits, which are called monthly cash payments.

“And finally, since April 1, in accordance with the law, social pensions will be indexed.

This is a small number of pensioners, about 4 million people who could not earn a retirement pension, they do not have enough work experience, so they are entitled to a social pension, which can be considered a kind of social benefit, ”Ryazansky added.

“The average pension in this category will be about 10 thousand rubles,” the senator stated.

The head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Yaroslav Nilov, in an interview with RT, also recalled that insurance pensions are indexed on January 1, and social pensions are indexed every year on April 1.

“They are indexed by a coefficient that depends on the growth of the living wage of a pensioner.

In accordance with the amendments to the Constitution, pensions should be indexed at least once a year, ”the MP said.

Pension innovations

Earlier it became known that starting from 2022, the social supplement to the pension will be set proactively, without an application.

As explained in the press service of the Ministry of Labor, the department has prepared a corresponding draft order.

In the length of service, which gives the right to early retirement, periods of study and additional vocational education, including refresher courses, will be counted.

At the same time, according to the conditions, for the period of additional training, employees must retain jobs and wages, and employers must deduct mandatory pension insurance contributions for them.

Previously, the length of service of employees eligible for early retirement retirement included only the time spent at work, annual and additional paid vacations and periods of temporary disability.

In addition, for pregnant women, the time of transfer to work was taken into account, excluding the impact of harmful factors.

These messages are expected to help citizens assess their post-employment prospects.

As specified in the press service of the Ministry of Labor, notifications will come every three years automatically through the portal of public services.

The ministry explained that the turn of 45 was chosen from the considerations that by this age, according to the Ministry of Labor, the majority of citizens have accumulated pension capital, which makes it possible to predict the level of payments in old age.
