Munich (dpa) - The construction machinery manufacturer Wacker Neuson expects growth in all business areas for the current year.

Sales are expected to grow by a total of 5 to 11 percent in 2021, as the company announced on Thursday in Munich.

The Executive Board sees the margin for operating earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) at 8 to 9.5 percent, after 4.7 percent in the previous year.

In 2020 as a whole, the bottom line was 14.1 million euros, it said.

That is a decrease of 84 percent compared to the previous year.

At the end of January, Wacker Neuson announced that the profit for the past year would be significantly lower due to the threat of bad debt losses.

The preliminary figures published at the time were largely confirmed.

Accordingly, sales fell by 15 percent to 1.6 billion euros due to the burdens of the Corona crisis, and the EBIT was halved to 75.5 million euros.
