The U.S. will resume diplomatic relations with Palestine

On March 25, local time, the United States' Permanent Representative to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield (Linda Thomas-Greenfield) stated that the United States will resume the diplomatic relations that were severed with Palestine during Trump's administration.

Thomas Greenfield stated that the United States will work to reach a mutually agreed "two-state solution" to ensure that Israel, as a democratic Jewish state, can coexist peacefully with a democratic Palestinian state.

Thomas Greenfield called on both Palestine and Israel to avoid unilateral actions that undermine peace, and urged the two countries to cooperate on COVID-19 vaccination.

In addition, Thomas Greenfield announced that the United States will provide US$15 million in humanitarian assistance to the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
