The Public Health Agency's decision to pause the use of Astra Zeneca's vaccine has made it to the county and many vaccination times needed to be rebooked.

- We could not reach everyone who had times booked.

Some came to the vaccination clinics anyway and had taxi trips booked for it.

It feels unfortunate with all the hassle that has been around it, says Jonas Ekström.

Astra Zeneca vaccine is paused due to some cases of serious side effects

Astra Zeneca's vaccine must not be used at this time as some isolated cases of serious side effects have been reported in Europe.

- I think it is good that you take this seriously and investigate it.

We must be able to rely on the vaccines available in the EU, says Jonas Ekström.

The region has already bought more of Astra Zeneca's vaccine

However, he believes that it will soon be possible to vaccinate with Astra Zeneca's vaccine again.

- We have already bought several doses of Astra Zeneca's vaccine to be able to get started again as soon as we get the green light, says Jonas Ekström.

From now on it is possible to register an interest in leftover doses

From Thursday 25 March, it will now also be possible to register your interest in the vaccine doses that will be left over in the evenings.

- Everyone who is over 65 can via 1177 register their interest in vaccines that are left over.

It is very positive that we can do so now, says Jonas Ekström.
