The Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, yesterday, during his meeting in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, who is currently visiting the Kingdom, the need to participate in any negotiations on Iran's nuclear file, adding that the negotiations with Tehran should include its missile program and the threat to navigation.

Al-Hajraf stressed, during a meeting with Wang Yi at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh, the keenness of the GCC countries to enhance cooperation relations with China in various fields, in a way that achieves common interests, as well as pushing forward the file of free trade negotiations between the two parties.

The Saudi News Agency (SPA) said that the two sides welcomed the Saudi initiative to end the crisis in Yemen, confirming their support for the legitimate government and efforts to end the Yemeni crisis, based on the three references represented by the Gulf initiative and its implementation mechanism, the outcomes of the Yemeni national dialogue and Security Council Resolution 2216.

The two sides stressed the importance of investing the opportunities that resulted from the Corona pandemic in the fields of digital economy, artificial intelligence, the fourth industrial revolution and e-commerce, as well as maximizing joint benefit from the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative projects, in a way that serves the common strategic interests between the two sides, and enhances their positive contribution with the international community to achieve Security, stability and sustainable development.
