China News Service, March 24. According to the Russian Satellite Network report, on the 23rd local time, a US military base in Deir al-Zour province, Syria, was attacked by missiles.

Representatives of the U.S.-led international coalition forces subsequently confirmed that no U.S. soldiers were injured or killed in the attack.

Local media previously reported that on the 23rd, the US military base in the Koniko gas field in northern Deir ez-Zor province was attacked by missiles of unknown origin, and US troops were injured in the attack.

Subsequently, a representative of the United States-led international coalition force told the Russian Satellite News Agency that the United States military base in Syria was attacked, but no casualties were reported.

A coalition representative said: "This morning, a rocket exploded several hundred meters from the US military base at Konica. The incident did not cause injuries or property damage."

According to reports, the US military assisted the "Syrian Democratic Army" in illegally controlling the northeastern part of Syria where large oil and gas fields are located.

Damascus has stated on many occasions that the presence of the US military in Syria is an occupation of Syria, saying that "the purpose of the US is to openly steal Syrian oil."
