Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens) wants to explain in the state parliament today, Wednesday, how Baden-Württemberg will implement the sharper corona emergency brake and the five-day Easter lockdown.

On Tuesday, the head of government said that there were still many questions unanswered after the federal and state government had decided.

For example, it has not yet been clarified which shops must remain closed on Maundy Thursday and Holy Saturday, and which contact restrictions apply in hotspots, for example.

Three weeks ago, Kretschmann had given Parliament hopes of further easing.

But since then, the number of new infections in 100,000 residents has almost doubled from just over 50 to more than 100 within a week.

The main reason for this is the much more contagious corona mutants.

Now, with the help of the emergency brake, an incidence of 100 openings is to be reversed.

It is still unclear whether urban and rural districts will be able to decide independently about closings depending on the incidence or whether this will be regulated again nationwide.

The Green politician wants to put a night curfew into effect again, but here too it is not yet clear whether only in certain heavily affected circles or nationwide.

There could also be stricter measures at schools and daycare centers in hotspots.
