An endless pandemic, shovel restrictions, a global economic crisis… and no light at the end of the tunnel yet.
Not easy, for a year, to fall asleep serenely.
And yet, the heavy sleepers are still there.
But where exactly?
In which countries do we observe the longest time of sleep per night?
The scientific publication
Science Advances
recently looked into the question, taking as a reference a duration of 8 hours.
As a result, people sleep the most in the Netherlands on average, 8 hours and 5 minutes.
It is also rather relaxed for New Zealanders and the French, but much less for the Chinese or the Germans.
And in Singapore or Japan, the nights are even shorter.
