Munich (dpa / lby) - The Bavarian Tennis Association (BTV) has criticized the latest corona consultations by the federal and state governments.
“Organized sport has not been in the focus of politics for a long time; in the recent talks between the Chancellor and the Prime Minister it no longer played a role.
That can't be because we all know how important sport is for a healthy population.
Children and young people in particular need exercise, ”said BTV President Helmut Schmidbauer on Wednesday.
Tennis in particular could be helpful in the current phase.
“After a year in the pandemic, large parts of the population are physically and mentally unstable.
Tennis is part of the solution, not the problem, ”said Schmidbauer.
“A tennis court covers around 600 square meters and the players on both sides are separated by a net.
There is therefore no risk of infection. "
After Easter, which has been withdrawn again, consultations between Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) and the Prime Ministers are planned for April 12th.
