A fire broke out this Wednesday morning around 7.15 a.m. in a farm located in the town of Saint-Brieuc-des-Iffs north-west of Rennes, we learned from the firefighters.

The fire broke out in a building with an area of ​​800 m² which housed a breeding of 12,000 ducks.

All the animals perished in the fire.

About forty firefighters intervened on the spot to control the flames which threatened to spread to another building located about ten meters away.

The situation was brought under control at around 9:30 a.m., with the firefighters still on site to secure the scene.
