Berlin (dpa / bb) - Three fires at once on Monday evening employed around 100 emergency services from the Berlin fire department.

Almost half of them worked until late at night when extinguishing a large single-family house in Blankenfelde, where part of the roof was burning, as a fire department spokesman reported.

A paper dispenser had previously burned on a ward in a hospital in Kaulsdorf.

Thanks to a fire alarm, the fire was quickly discovered and brought under control.

In addition, an approximately 50 square meter arbor in an allotment garden in Baumschulenweg had caught fire, whereby the water supply necessary for extinguishing was a challenge.

Eventful evening even for the federal capital's fire brigade: "It's not every day that we have two or three fires at once," said the spokesman.

Nobody was injured, the criminal police are investigating the causes of the fire.
