  • Castilla y León: The PSOE's motion of censure derails after failing to break the Citizens group

Strengthened after the failure of the no-confidence motions in

Murcia

and

Castilla y León

and assured of a great victory for Isabel Díaz Ayuso on May 4 in

Madrid

, the president of the PP, Pablo Casado, has replied this Tuesday to those inside and outside the party they assure that it does not have a clear project.

"It makes me laugh when I hear or read it," he said, in his speech to the

PP

Board

of

Directors

,

"Do not worry if they tell us if we have a project and equipment or not, where we come from or where we are going, we cannot die every evening."

"Our project is long-term, for the next decades," he said.

"The sails we have oriented are coming times of change."

Now the party, he explained, will focus on winning Madrid but is "ready" to win in the next general elections.

When it does, according to Casado, it will find a

Spain

"devastated" by the "gasoline of polarization" that the coalition government has thrown and the role of the PP is "to unite the Spanish."

As a preliminary step, his goal is to unite the center right, something that in his opinion he is already achieving.

"We are the meeting point of those who do not want Pedro Sánchez to perpetuate himself. We are, we have always been, the common home of the center right."

This fusion of the ideological space of the PP is something he has been dedicating himself to since he won the congress.

He made, he recalled, convergence offers to Citizens such as España Suma, which only came to fruition in

Navarra

.

Now it is time to "unify the voters by the base."

The

popular

leader

has differentiated several stages since his arrival in Genoa to proclaim that "we know what we are doing."

First, the party was "ideologically consolidated", then, with the election of candidates in the 2019 regional and municipal elections, "our territorial power was expanded", and now, in a third phase, organic consolidation is going to take place, the "renovation that we have not been able to do".

With all this, the PP is ready to "forge the alternative."

At one point in addition, after the collapse of the three censure motions that, he maintains,

La Moncloa

had prepared -Murcia, Castilla y León and Madrid-, in which the PP is "reinforced" and Sánchez "weaker".

Casado directly attributes these operations to the President of the Government to evict the popular governments.

"We are managing and governing. Meanwhile, Pedro Sánchez and his partners have tried to destroy good governments and undermine their stability to damage the democratic alternative of the center-right that the PP represents.

"They have been shorn"

"What Sánchez has tried with the motions in the middle of the pandemic is immoral, but they have gone for wool and have been shorn. There is too much PP for their short ambitions for power," he stressed.

Regarding the pending renewal of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ), he pointed out that the PP "has risen three times" and will continue to do so as long as "our principle of depoliticization" of justice is not assumed.

It considers that the "reinforcement of judicial independence" is fundamental although in this negotiation "it is not retroactive".

Before the intervention of the

popular

president

, the general secretary of the PP, Teodoro García Egea, had already advanced the messages that now "the reunification of the center-right is at the base, in the ballot box, around Casado."

The

popular ones

aspire to absorb the vote of Citizens in the elections in Madrid.

"What happened these days should serve us as learning: only the PP has a strong project and with a leader who can be president of the Government."

And, for this reason, he added, "we have opened the doors of our party", in reference to the signings from Cs and the entry of former Vox deputies into the Government of Murcia.
