Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - In the state's police authorities, 18 142 employees were vaccinated as part of the official campaign after a good two weeks.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, there are also many police officers, some of whom have already been given residual vaccination doses by the districts or cities.
There are no statistics on this.
The number of around 18,000 employees - out of a total of 56,000 - therefore only has "limited informative value," according to the Interior Ministry.
In fact, the individual district police authorities are making rapid progress in some areas: In Cologne, it is expected that almost all employees who are ready to be vaccinated will be vaccinated by the end of next week, said a police spokesman for the "Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger".
The willingness to vaccinate is very high.
The first group to be vaccinated from March 8th was police officers from the Einsatzhunds.
In the meantime, for example, there are patrolmen in Cologne.
