Düsseldorf (AP) - Uli Hoeneß urged national coach Joachim Löw to make a comeback for Thomas Müller in the national soccer team before his premiere as an international match expert on RTL.
He is also “pretty sure” that the Bayern Munich attacker, who was retired two years ago, will appear again for Germany at the EM in the summer.
“You can't do without a player who is a defining figure in the Bundesliga and the Champions League at Bayern.
It's not about a junior team that you have to build, but about a team that should win something, ”said the 69-year-old Hoeneß in an interview with the German press agency.
Löw had sorted out Müller (31) together with Mats Hummels (32) from Borussia Dortmund and Bayern defender Jérôme Boateng (32) two years ago.
